Off-Broadway, Mr. Madera has directed Nancy Nevarez’s Puerto Rico I Will Always Love You (Songs from Coconut Hill Theatre Festival); Roger Schira’s The Puerto Rican Room (Intar), starring Bobby Rivers and Corina Katt Ayala.

As a writer, Mr. Madera directed two of his comedies, The Cook, the Wife and the Sinner and Industrially Yours, off-Broadway as they were produced by the Ensemble Studio Theatre’s Institute Lab for Octoberfest ’97 & ‘98. Most recently Jason completed The Reign of Pain by Ouch Davidson, a book of poems targeting the failure of love and optimism through substance and carnal pleasures. His work is complemented with illustrations and the photography of artist, T.M. Kennedy. His most recent work in progress, La Resaca Espanola (The Spanish Hangover), is a book of poems and songs inspired by his journeys through Spain and the beautiful people of his culture.
